Nasser Ali Goins was born August 8, 1982 in Philadelphia, PA and attended the city’s high school for Creative and Performing Arts. Since graduating in 1999 he’s made impressive strides to becoming the entertainment industry’s next superstar. Formerly going by the moniker Showcase, he is now simply known as“The Show”! In 2002, his first song “The Jumpoff” ft. Smif N Wessun was featured on the double platinum selling And1 streetball DVD #5. One year later, Show had the privilege of meeting and later performing with the musical icon Kanye West. Show has went on to write for and record with the likes of Grammy nominated R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan, and MTV’s “G’s to Gents” host and G.O.O.D Music artist Fonzworth Bentley. In 2006, Show took his entertainment career to another level by starring in a straight to DVD film called “Money, Power, Respect” distributed by Universal. Since then, he has been formally trained under the guidance of Tracey Moore, an esteemed acting coach for the likes of Busta Rhymes, Laz Alonzo, and Eve. In 2009, Nasser excelled, starring in a brand new reality series by Sam Raimi (Spiderman, Evil Dead films) called “13: Fear Is Real” which premiered to 2.4 million viewers on the CW network (CBS/Paramount). Upon his television debut an impromptu rap performance would introduce Nasser as “The Show” to the entire viewing audience. This spring he was also featured on CBS’ “Sunday Morning” program being interviewed by Serena Altschul (MTV) at the New York City opening of the artist/designer KAWS’ exhibit. Coming soon, be on the look out for The Show’s new single “Over U (Jump the Shark)” in anticipation of his debut album, which he wrote and produced. So have your popcorn ready and get your tickets for The Show… Literally!
